Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child was born into a family in South London. She is English as well as her father is Nigerian. She grew on the South London council estate and at the age of 14, attended The Brit School. She went to an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an BA in acting. While attending the academy, she performed in a number of stage productions, including the King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career began with Storm Damage. Since then, she's appeared as a guest in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. Following this acclaim, she was cast as Elisha on her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured in six episodes Trexx and Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi part on the ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was a star in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Performance credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009, with The thriller The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes prior to being cancelled on The CW. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. The departure of Madekwe from the show was announced in May 2013. Following two seasons as the main character she appeared as a guest in the opening episode of season 3. In the TV series Salem, she played Tituba from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe got married to her long-time partner, Iddo. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl They have also collaborated with each other on Salem and Iddo Goldberg had part in the show with her. the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Her parents, Roy and Patty, as well as her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletes, play baseball in summers and played hockey in the winter months. Ashley did not have the ability to walk but she was able to dance. At the age of two, she took up Baby Ballet and fell in the love. That was the start of Ashley's love for dancing. When she was in High School, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. In addition, she won top soloists awards in all major dance contests, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, among others.
